(I know you sung that title in you’re head)

For those of you that are new to this blog, let me introduce myself… My Muay Thai journey began little under 18 months ago when I decided to try something ‘new’ for fitness. It didn’t matter that I’d never thrown a punch in my life or that my idea of footwork was confined to a gymnastics mat, I thought I’d give it a go. Fast forward 18 months and two fights later and I’m very nearly on my way to Thailand. As I did with my White-Collar Journey I will be blogging my way through the retreat so here is the place to keep up-to-date with our adventures…

24 Hours to go….

It’s all we have talked about, it’s now all we can think about, Its getting close, in 24 hours sixteen of us will be jetting off to Thailand for two weeks.

It’s an understatement to say we’re excited…. A general buzz has been around the gym for the last week as we all gear up for the travels.

Half of us still haven’t packed, at least a third of us are in the pub (holidays have officially started), I have it on good authority that one of our crew is still cleaning his fridge and Shemmy is no doubt still researching all the ways to avoid jet-lag and generously sharing his findings with the group. ..

Me? Well I am writing this whilst thinking about how quickly this trip has come about, it seems like last week we booked it and only yesterday I got a sticker from the doc’s for being ‘brave’ whilst getting my jabs (Yes, I really did get a sticker – picture below!) And yes I would much rather step in the ring than get any form of injection..!
